حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مُصْعَبٍ، حَدَّثَنَا الْأَوْزَاعِيُّ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ سَعِيدٍ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ: دَخَلَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ الْمَسْجِدَ وَالْحَبَشَةُ يَلْعَبُونَ، فَزَجَرَهُمْ عُمَرُ، فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " دَعْهُمْ يَا عُمَرُ، فَإِنَّهُمْ بَنُو أَرْفِدَةَ " (١)، ،

Translation

English translation

It is narrated from Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) entered the mosque and some Abyssinians began to display tricks with their spears. Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) scolded them, but the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) said, "Umar! Leave them, they are Banu Arfada."
