Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Angel of Death used to come before everyone openly to seize their soul. So when he came to Musa (peace be upon him) to seize his soul, Musa (peace be upon him) struck him a blow and gouged out his eye. He returned to the Lord and said, "Your servant has gouged out my eye. If Your mercy had not been upon him, I would have given him a harsh reply." Allah restored his eye and said, "Go back to him and tell him to place his hand on the back of an ox; for every hair that comes under his hand, his life will be extended by one year." Musa (peace be upon him) asked, "O Lord, what will happen after that?" Allah said, "Then death will come." He said, "Then let it be now." So the Angel of Death made him smell something and seized his soul.
