حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاوِيَةُ، عَنْ أَبِي بِشْرٍ، مُؤَذِّنِ مَسْجِدِ (٤) دِمَشْقَ، عَنْ عَامِرِ بْنِ لُدَيْنٍ الْأَشْعَرِيِّ، قَالَ:، ، سَأَلْتُ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ عَنْ صَوْمِ يَوْمِ (١) الْجُمُعَةِ، فَقَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " يَوْمُ الْجُمُعَةِ يَوْمُ عِيدٍ، فَلَا تَجْعَلُوا يَوْمَ عِيدِكُمْ يَوْمَ صِيَامٍ، إِلَّا أَنْ تَصُومُوا قَبْلَهُ أَوْ بَعْدَهُ " (٢)،
Translation
English translation
Aamir Ash'ari says that I asked Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) about the ruling of fasting on Friday, so he replied that the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) said: "Friday is a day of Eid, so do not fast on the day of Eid except that you fast along with it on Thursday or Saturday."
