Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو سَعِيدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا زَائِدَةُ، حَدَّثَنَا الْأَعْمَشُ، عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: " إِذَا سَمِعَ الشَّيْطَانُ الْمُنَادِيَ يُنَادِي بِالصَّلَاةِ، خَرَجَ وَلَهُ ضُرَاطٌ حَتَّى لَا يَسْمَعَ الصَّوْتَ،، ، فَإِذَا فَرَغَ رَجَعَ فَوَسْوَسَ، فَإِذَا أَخَذَ فِي الْإِقَامَةِ فَعَلَ مِثْلَ ذَلِكَ " (١)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) said: When the call to prayer (adhan) is given, Satan runs away loudly passing wind so that he does not hear the adhan. When the adhan is finished, he returns. Then when the iqamah is started, he runs away again, and when the iqamah is completed, he returns again and puts whispers into the heart of a person.
