Musnad Ahmad Hadith 10786

It is narrated from Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Holy Prophet (ﷺ) said: A companion passed by a place where there was a spring of sweet water, and he liked the climate there. He thought to himself, "I will settle here and live in seclusion." Then he thought, "No, I will first ask the Holy Prophet (ﷺ)." So he came and asked the Holy Prophet (ﷺ). The Holy Prophet (ﷺ) said: Participating in jihad in the way of Allah by any one of you is far better than worshipping continuously for sixty years while living with your family. Do you not wish that Allah should forgive you and admit you to Paradise? Strive in the way of Allah. Whoever strives in the way of Allah even to the extent of the time it takes for milk to flow from a she-camel’s udder, Paradise becomes obligatory for him.
