حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْمَلِكِ بْنُ عَمْرٍو، حَدَّثَنَا زُهَيْرٌ، عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَسْلَمَ، عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: قَالَ اللهُ تَعَالَى " أَنَا عِنْدَ ظَنِّ عَبْدِي بِي، وَأَنَا مَعَهُ حَيْثُ يَذْكُرُنِي. وَلَلَّهُ (٢) أَشَدُّ فَرَحًا بِتَوْبَةِ عَبْدِهِ مِنْ أَحَدِكُمْ يَجِدُ ضَالَّتَهُ بِالْفَلَاةِ. (٣) وَمَنْ يَتَقَرَّبُ إِلَيَّ شِبْرًا تَقَرَّبْتُ إِلَيْهِ ذِرَاعًا، وَمَنْ تَقَرَّبَ إِلَيَّ (٤) ذِرَاعًا تَقَرَّبْتُ إِلَيْهِ بَاعًا، وَإِذَا أَقْبَلَ إِلَيَّ يَمْشِي أَقْبَلْتُ أُهَرْوِلُ " (٥)، ،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) said: Allah the Exalted says, "I deal with My servant according to his expectation of Me. Whenever My servant remembers Me, I am with him. Allah is more pleased with the repentance of His servant than any one of you who finds his lost belongings (or mount) in the wilderness. If he comes near Me by a handspan, I come near him by an arm's length. If he comes near Me by an arm's length, I come near him by a fathom. And if he comes to Me walking, I come to him running."
