حَدَّثَنَا صَفْوَانُ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ عَجْلَانَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لِلْحَيَّاتِ: " مَا سَالَمْنَاهُنَّ مُنْذُ حَارَبْنَاهُنَّ، فَمَنْ تَرَكَ شَيْئًا خِيفَتَهُنَّ، فَلَيْسَ مِنَّا " (٣)،

Translation

English translation

It is narrated from Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) said regarding snakes: Since we started fighting them, we have never made peace with them. Whoever leaves them due to fear is not from among us.
