حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ، أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو، عَنِ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ، ، أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، وَهِشَامٌ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سِيرِينَ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: " لَا يُدْخِلُ أَحَدًا مِنْكُمْ عَمَلُهُ الْجَنَّةَ " قِيلَ: وَلَا أَنْتَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ؟ قَالَ: " وَلَا أَنَا، إِلَّا أَنْ يَتَغَمَّدَنِي اللهُ بِرَحْمَةٍ مِنْهُ وَفَضْلٍ " وَوَضَعَ يَدَهُ عَلَى رَأْسِهِ (١)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: None of you will be saved by his deeds. A man asked, "O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), not even you?" He replied, "Not even me, unless my Lord covers me with His forgiveness and mercy." After saying this sentence, the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) placed his hand on his head.
