حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ عَلْقَمَةَ، عَنْ رَجُلٍ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: " مَا اجْتَمَعَ قَوْمٌ ثُمَّ تَفَرَّقُوا لَمْ يَذْكُرُوا اللهَ، إِلَّا (٢) كَأَنَّمَا تَفَرَّقُوا عَنْ جِيفَةِ حِمَارٍ " (٣)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: Those people who gather at a place and disperse without remembering Allah are like those who have dispersed from around a dead donkey.
