حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ،، ، عَنْ ذَكْوَانَ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: " مَنْ قَتَلَ نَفْسَهُ بِحَدِيدَةٍ، فَحَدِيدَتُهُ بِيَدِهِ يَجَأُ بِهَا فِي بَطْنِهِ فِي نَارِ جَهَنَّمَ، خَالِدًا مُخَلَّدًا فِيهَا أَبَدًا، وَمَنْ تَرَدَّى مِنْ جَبَلٍ فَقَتَلَ نَفْسَهُ، فَهُوَ فِي نَارِ جَهَنَّمَ، يَتَرَدَّى فِيهَا خَالِدًا مُخَلَّدًا فِيهَا أَبَدًا " (١)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) said: Whoever kills himself with a sharp instrument (commits suicide), that sharp instrument will be in his hand and he will be stabbing it into his belly in Hellfire, and he will remain there forever and ever. And whoever throws himself down from a mountain and commits suicide, he will be falling down from a mountain in Hellfire as well, and he will remain there forever and ever.
