حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ، عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنِي الْعَلَاءُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ يَعْقُوبَ، أَنَّ أَبَا السَّائِبِ، أَخْبَرَهُ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ يَقُولُ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " مَنْ صَلَّى صَلَاةً لَمْ يَقْرَأْ فِيهَا بِأُمِّ الْقُرْآنِ فَهِيَ خِدَاجٌ، هِيَ خِدَاجٌ، هِيَ خِدَاجٌ، غَيْرُ تَمَامٍ "،، ، فَقُلْتُ: يَا أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ: إِنِّي أَكُونُ أَحْيَانًا وَرَاءَ الْإِمَامِ، قَالَ: فَغَمَزَ ذِرَاعِي، وَقَالَ: " يَا فَارِسِيُّ، اقْرَأْ بِهَا فِي نَفْسِكَ " (١)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) said: Any prayer in which Surah Al-Fatihah is not recited is incomplete, incomplete, incomplete. I asked, "O Abu Hurairah! What if sometimes I am behind the Imam?" He pinched my arm and said, "O Persian, recite it in your heart."
