Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ، عَنْ حَمَّادٍ، عَنْ ثَابِتٍ، عَنْ أَبِي رَافِعٍ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: " كَانَ زَكَرِيَّا نَجَّارًا "، قَالَ عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ: رُبَّمَا رَفَعَهُ، وَرُبَّمَا لَمْ يَرْفَعْهُ (٣)، ،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Holy Prophet (ﷺ) said: Zakariya (peace be upon him) was a carpenter by profession.
