حَدَّثَنَا أَسْبَاطُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا الْأَعْمَشُ، عَنِ أَبِي صَالِحٍ، عَنِ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " إِذَا كَانَ يَوْمٌ يَصُومُهُ أَحَدُكُمْ، فَلَا يَرْفُثْ، وَلَا يَجْهَلْ، فَإِنْ جُهِلَ عَلَيْهِ، فَلْيَقُلْ: إِنِّي امْرُؤٌ صَائِمٌ " (١)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Holy Prophet (ﷺ) said: Fasting is a shield. When any one of you is fasting, he should not indulge in any indecent or ignorant talk. If someone wants to fight or abuse him, he should simply say: I am fasting.
