حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ، حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامُ بْنُ عُرْوَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، قَالَ: قَالَ عَلِيٌّ: كُنْتُ رَجُلًا مَذَّاءً وَكُنْتُ أَسْتَحِي أَنْ أَسْأَلَ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لِمَكَانِ ابْنَتِهِ فَأَمَرْتُ الْمِقْدَادَ فَسَأَلَهُ فَقَالَ: " يَغْسِلُ ذَكَرَهُ وَأُنْثَيَيْهِ وَيَتَوَضَّأُ " (٣)، ،
Translation
English translation
‘Ali said:
I was a man who emitted a great deal of madhi and I felt too shy to ask the Prophet (ﷺ) [about that] because of his daughter, so I told al-Miqdad to ask him and he said: `Let him wash his private part and testicles and do wudoo’.
