حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدٍ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ يَقُولُ: سَمِعْتُ أَبَا الْقَاسِمِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ: " دَخَلَتْ امْرَأَةٌ النَّارَ فِي هِرٍّ - أَوْ هِرَّةٍ - رَبَطَتْهَا، فَلَمْ تُطْعِمْهَا، وَلَمْ تَسْقِهَا، وَلَمْ تُرْسِلْهَا تَأْكُلُ مِنْ خَشَاشِ الْأَرْضِ " (٣)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated with the previous chain that I heard Abul Qasim (peace be upon him) say: A woman entered Hell because of a cat which she had tied up; she neither fed it nor gave it water, nor did she let it go free so that it could eat the insects of the earth on its own.
