Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ نُمَيْرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي وَيَعْلَى، عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنِ أَبِي خَالِدٍ، عَنْ نُفَيْعٍ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ، قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ
مَا مِنْ غَنِيٍّ وَلاَ فَقِيرٍ إِلاَّ وَدَّ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ أَنَّهُ أُتِيَ مِنَ الدُّنْيَا قُوتًا
.
Translation
English translation
It was narrated from Anas that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:
“There is no rich man or poor man but he will wish on the Day of Resurrection that he had been given the bare minimum of provision.”
