Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الطَّلْحِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا نُقَيْبُ بْنُ حَاجِبٍ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ الزُّبَيْرِيِّ، عَنْ طَلْحَةَ، قَالَ دَخَلْتُ عَلَى النَّبِيِّ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ وَبِيَدِهِ سَفَرْجَلَةٌ فَقَالَ
دُونَكَهَا يَا طَلْحَةُ فَإِنَّهَا تُجِمُّ الْفُؤَادَ
.
Translation
English translation
It was narrated that Talhah said:
”I entered upon the Prophet (ﷺ) and in his hand was some quince. He said: ‘Take it, O Talhah, for it soothes the heart.’”
