Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو السَّائِبِ، سَلْمُ بْنُ جُنَادَةَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ بَشِيرٍ، عَنْ مُجَالِدٍ، عَنِ الشَّعْبِيِّ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم
خَيْرُ الأَنْصَارِ بَنُو عَبْدِ الأَشْهَلِ
. قَالَ هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ غَرِيبٌ مِنْ هَذَا الْوَجْهِ .
Translation
English translation
Narrated Jabir [bin 'Abdullah]:
that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: "The best of the Ansar are Banu 'Abdul-Ashhal."
