Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا مَحْمُودُ بْنُ غَيْلاَنَ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو أُسَامَةَ، عَنْ شَرِيكٍ، عَنْ عَاصِمٍ الأَحْوَلِ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ، قَالَ رُبَّمَا قَالَ لِيَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم
يَا ذَا الأُذُنَيْنِ
. قَالَ أَبُو أُسَامَةَ يَعْنِي يُمَازِحُهُ . هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ غَرِيبٌ صَحِيحٌ .
Translation
English translation
Narrated Anas bin Malik:
that the Prophet (ﷺ) said to him: "O possessor of two ears!" (One of the narrators) Abu Usamah said: 'He only meant it as a joke.'
