باب مَا جَاءَ فِي كَرَاهِيَةِ الْجَمْعِ بَيْنَ اسْمِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم وَكُنْيَتِهِ .

Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ حُرَيْثٍ، حَدَّثَنَا الْفَضْلُ بْنُ مُوسَى، عَنِ الْحُسَيْنِ بْنِ وَاقِدٍ، عَنْ أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ، قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم
إِذَا سَمَّيْتُمْ بِاسْمِي فَلاَ تَكْتَنُوا بِي
. قَالَ هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ غَرِيبٌ مِنْ هَذَا الْوَجْهِ .
Translation
English translation
Narrated Jabir:
that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ): "When you name yourself after me, then do not use my Kunyah."
