Original Arabic

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو كُرَيْبٍ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا بَكْرُ بْنُ يُونُسَ بْنِ بُكَيْرٍ، عَنْ مُوسَى بْنِ عَلِيٍّ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ عُقْبَةَ بْنِ عَامِرٍ الْجُهَنِيِّ، قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم ‏

‏ لاَ تُكْرِهُوا مَرْضَاكُمْ عَلَى الطَّعَامِ فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ تبارك و تعالى يُطْعِمُهُمْ وَيَسْقِيهِمْ ‏

‏ ‏.‏ قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ غَرِيبٌ لاَ نَعْرِفُهُ إِلاَّ مِنْ هَذَا الْوَجْهِ ‏.‏

Translation

English translation

Uqbah bin Amir Al-Juhani narrated that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:

"Do not force your sick to eat, for indeed Allah, Blessed and Most High, provides them food and drink."(Dai'f)
