وعن أبي عمرو، ويقال: أبو عبد الله: ويقال: أبو ليلى، عثمان ابن عفان، رضي الله عنه أن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم، قال:
ليس لابن آدم حق في سوى هذه الخصال: بيت يسكنه، وثوب يواري عورته، وجلف الخبز، والماء
((رواه الترمذي وقال: حديث صحيح)) . ((قال الترمذي: سمعت أبا داود سليمان بن سالم البلخى يقول: سمعت النضر بن شميل يقول: الجلف: الخبز ليس معه إدام. قال غيره: هو غليظ الخبز. وقال الهروي: المراد به هنا وعاء الخبز؛ كالجوالق والخرج، والله أعلم)).
Translation
English translation
'Uthman bin 'Affan (May Allah be pleased with him) reported:
The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "There is no right for the son of adam except in these (four) things: A house to live in, a cloth to cover therewith his private parts, bread and water." [At-Tirmidhi, who classified it as Hadith Sahih].
