Original Arabic

وعن أبي هريرة رضي الله عنه، أن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم قال‏:‏ ‏

‏لولا أن أشق على أمتي - أو على الناس- لأمرتهم بالسواك مع كل صلاة‏

‏ ‏(‏‏(‏متفق عليه‏)‏‏)‏ ‏.‏

Translation

English translation

Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported:

The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said, "Had I not thought it difficult for my Ummah, I would have commanded them to use the Miswak (tooth-stick) before every Salat." [Al-Bukhari and Muslim].
