Translation

English translation

It is narrated from Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: Fasting is a shield. When any one of you is fasting, he should not indulge in foul or ignorant speech. If someone tries to fight or abuse him, he should simply say, "I am fasting."
