Musnad Ahmad Hadith 9880

It is narrated from Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that a Bedouin came to the service of the Holy Prophet (ﷺ) to demand his camel and he spoke harshly. The companions (may Allah be pleased with them) intended to beat him, but the Holy Prophet (ﷺ) said, "Leave him, for the rightful person can speak." Then the Holy Prophet (ﷺ) said to the companions (may Allah be pleased with them), "Buy a camel of the same age as his camel and give it to him." The companions (may Allah be pleased with them) searched but could not find a camel of the required age; every camel was older than that. The Holy Prophet (ﷺ) said, "Then buy an older camel and give it to him. The best among you is the one who is best in repaying debts."
