حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ، وَبَهْزٌ، قَالَا: حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ عَدِيِّ بْنِ، ، ثَابِتٍ، قَالَ بَهْزٌ فِي حَدِيثِهِ: قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنِي عَدِيُّ بْنُ ثَابِتٍ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ أَبَا حَازِمٍ، الْمَعْنَى، يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، أَنَّ رَجُلًا أَتَى النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَهُوَ كَافِرٌ، فَكَانَ يَأْكُلُ أَكْلًا كَثِيرًا، ثُمَّ إِنَّهُ أَسْلَمَ، فَكَانَ يَأْكُلُ أَكْلًا قَلِيلًا، فَذُكِرَ ذَلِكَ لِلنَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ: " إِنَّ الْكَافِرَ يَأْكُلُ فِي سَبْعَةِ أَمْعَاءٍ، وَإِنَّ الْمُسْلِمَ يَأْكُلُ فِي مِعًى وَاحِدٍ " (١)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that a man who was a disbeliever came to the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) and ate a lot of food. Later, he accepted Islam and then ate very little food. This was mentioned to the Noble Prophet (ﷺ), so the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) said: "A Muslim eats with one intestine, and a disbeliever eats with seven intestines."
