Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا حَجَّاجٌ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ، عَنِ الْحَارِثِ، عَنْ عَلِيٍّ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " عَفَوْتُ لَكُمْ عَنْ صَدَقَةِ الْخَيْلِ وَالرَّقِيقِ، وَفِي الرِّقَةِ رُبُعُ عُشْرِهَا " (١)،
Translation
English translation
It was narrated that `Ali (رضي الله عنه) said:
The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: “I have relieved you of zakah on horses and slaves. And on silver (the zakah) is one quarter of one tenth.
