حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ، أخبرنا مُحَمَّدٌ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " قَالَ اللهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ: إِذَا أَحَبَّ الْعَبْدُ لِقَائِي أَحْبَبْتُ لِقَاءَهُ، وَإِذَا كَرِهَ الْعَبْدُ لِقَائِي كَرِهْتُ لِقَاءَهُ "، قَالَ: فَقِيلَ لِأَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ: مَا مِنَّا مِنْ أَحَدٍ إِلَّا وَهُوَ يَكْرَهُ الْمَوْتَ، وَيَفْظَعُ بِهِ، قَالَ أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ: " إِنَّهُ إِذَا كَانَ ذَلِكَ كَشَفَ لَهُ " (٢)، ،
Translation
English translation
And the command of Allah Almighty is: When My servant likes to meet Me, I also like to meet him, and when he dislikes meeting Me... Someone said to Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him): Each one of us dislikes death and is afraid of it? He replied: What is meant is the time when the veils are lifted.
