Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ، أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدٌ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " احْتَجَّتِ النَّارُ وَالْجَنَّةُ، فَقَالَتِ النَّارُ: يَدْخُلُنِي الْجَبَّارُونَ، وَالْمُتَكَبِّرُونَ، وَقَالَتِ، ، الْجَنَّةُ: يَدْخُلُنِي الضُّعَفَاءُ، وَالْمَسَاكِينُ، فَقَالَ اللهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ لِلنَّارِ: أَنْتِ عَذَابِي، أَنْتَقِمُ بِكِ مِمَّنْ شِئْتُ، وَقَالَ لِلْجَنَّةِ: أَنْتِ رَحْمَتِي أَرْحَمُ بِكِ مَنْ شِئْتُ " (١)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from the previous chain that the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: Once Paradise and Hell had a mutual discussion. Paradise said, "Only the poor and lowly people will enter me?" And Hell said, "Only the tyrants and arrogant people will enter me?" Allah said to Hell, "You are My punishment; I will punish with you whomever I wish." And He said to Paradise, "You are My mercy; I will have mercy through you on whomever I wish."
