حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ، قَالَ (٤) : حَدَّثَنِي عُثْمَانُ بْنُ وَاقِدٍ يَعْنِي، ، الْعُمَرِيَّ، عَنْ كِدَامِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ السُّلَمِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِي كِبَاشٍ، قَالَ: جَلَبْتُ غَنَمًا جُذْعَانًا إِلَى الْمَدِينَةِ، فَكَسَدَتْ عَلَيَّ، فَلَقِيتُ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ، فَسَأَلْتُهُ، فَقَالَ: سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ: " نِعْمَ - أَوْ نِعْمَتِ - الْأُضْحِيَّةُ الْجَذَعُ مِنَ الضَّأْنِ " فَانْتَهَبَهَا النَّاسُ (١)، ،
Translation
English translation
Abu Kabshah (may Allah have mercy on him) says that once I imported some lambs to Madinah Munawwarah, but I suffered a loss there. By chance, I met Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him). I asked him some questions and he said: I heard the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) say that the lamb is the best animal for sacrifice. According to the narrator, then people took it away.
