حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ، وَأَبُو نُعَيْمٍ وَهُوَ الْفَضْلُ بْنُ دُكَيْنٍ، قَالَا: حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ سُهَيْلِ بْنِ أَبِي صَالِحٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " إِذَا لَقِيتُمُ الْيَهُودَ فِي الطَّرِيقِ، فَاضْطَرُّوهُمْ إِلَى أَضْيَقِهَا، وَلَا تَبْدَءُوهُمْ بِالسَّلَامِ "، قَالَ أَبُو نُعَيْمٍ: " الْمُشْرِكِينَ بِالطَّرِيقِ " (١)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) said: When you meet the Jews on the road, do not initiate the greeting of peace with them, and force them to the narrowest part of the road.
