حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى، عَنْ مَالِكٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي الزُّهْرِيُّ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيِّبِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ: " نَعَى لَنَا رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ النَّجَاشِيَّ فِي الْيَوْمِ الَّذِي مَاتَ فِيهِ، فَخَرَجَ إِلَى الْمُصَلَّى، فَصَفَّ أَصْحَابُهُ خَلْفَهُ، وَكَبَّرَ عَلَيْهِ أَرْبَعًا " (١)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that on the day Najashi passed away, the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) informed us of Najashi's death and proceeded towards the Eidgah. The noble companions (may Allah be pleased with them) formed rows behind the Noble Prophet (ﷺ). The Noble Prophet (ﷺ) led the funeral prayer for Najashi and said four takbirs in it.
