. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .. . .، ،

English translation
It is narrated from Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that a man abused Siddiq Akbar (may Allah be pleased with him) in the presence of the Holy Prophet (ﷺ). The Holy Prophet (ﷺ) kept expressing wonder and smiling at Siddiq Akbar’s (may Allah be pleased with him) silence, but when that man went too far, Siddiq Akbar (may Allah be pleased with him) also replied to one of his remarks. At this, the Prophet (ﷺ) stood up in displeasure. Abu Bakr Siddiq (may Allah be pleased with him) followed and submitted, “O Messenger of Allah (ﷺ), as long as he kept abusing me, you remained seated, but when I replied to one of his remarks, you became angry and stood up?” The Holy Prophet (ﷺ) said, “There was an angel with you who was replying to him on your behalf, but when you replied to him, Satan came in between, so I could not remain seated in the presence of Satan.” Then he said, “O Abu Bakr! Three things are true: (1) Whoever is wronged and remains silent for the sake of Allah, Allah will surely grant him mighty help; (2) Whoever opens the door of generosity for the sake of maintaining ties of kinship, Allah increases his wealth accordingly; (3) And whoever opens the door of begging to increase his wealth, Allah increases his poverty.”
