Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى، عَنِ ابْنِ عَجْلَانَ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ أَبِي، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، " سَمِعَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ صَوْتَ صَبِيٍّ فِي الصَّلَاةِ، فَخَفَّفَ الصَّلَاةَ " (٢)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that once the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) heard the sound of a child crying during prayer, so he shortened his prayer (so that the child's mother would not be distressed).
