حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، عَنْ شُعْبَةَ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ زِيَادٍ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: " صُومُوا لِرُؤْيَتِهِ، وَأَفْطِرُوا لِرُؤْيَتِهِ، فَإِنْ غُمَّ عَلَيْكُمْ، فَأَكْمِلُوا الْعِدَّةَ ثَلَاثِينَ " (٣)، ،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that I heard Abul Qasim (ﷺ) say: "Fast upon sighting the moon and celebrate Eid upon sighting the moon. If the moon is not visible and the sky is cloudy, then complete the count to thirty."
