حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى، عَنِ ابْنِ عَجْلَانَ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ أَبِي يُحَدِّثُ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " لَا تَقُومُ السَّاعَةُ حَتَّى يُقْبَضَ الْعِلْمُ، وَيَظْهَرَ الْجَهْلُ، وَيَكْثُرَ الْهَرْجُ "، قِيلَ: وَمَا الْهَرْجُ؟ قَالَ: " الْقَتْلُ " (٢)،

Translation

English translation

It is narrated from Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) said: The Hour will not be established until knowledge is taken away, ignorance prevails, and "harj" becomes widespread. Someone asked, "What is the meaning of harj?" He replied, "Killing."
