Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ، أَخْبَرَنَا عَطَاءُ بْنُ السَّائِبِ، عَنِ الْأَغَرِّ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: قَالَ اللهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ: الْكِبْرِيَاءُ رِدَائِي، وَالْعَظَمَةُ إِزَارِي، فَمَنْ نَازَعَنِي وَاحِدَةً مِنْهُمَا، أَلْقَيْتُهُ فِي جَهَنَّمَ " (١)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) said: Allah Almighty has said, "Majesty is My upper garment and Honor is My lower garment. Whoever disputes with Me regarding either of them, I will cast him into Hell."
