حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ، عَنْ أَبِي قِلَابَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ: لَمَّا حَضَرَ رَمَضَانُ، قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " قَدْ جَاءَكُمْ رَمَضَانُ، شَهْرٌ مُبَارَكٌ، افْتَرَضَ اللهُ عَلَيْكُمْ صِيَامَهُ، تُفْتَحُ فِيهِ أَبْوَابُ الْجَنَّةِ، وَتُغْلَقُ فِيهِ أَبْوَابُ الْجَحِيمِ، وَتُغَلُّ فِيهِ الشَّيَاطِينُ، فِيهِ لَيْلَةٌ خَيْرٌ مِنْ أَلْفِ شَهْرٍ، مَنْ حُرِمَ خَيْرَهَا فَقَدْ حُرِمَ " (١)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that when the month of Ramadan would approach, the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) would say: "The month of Ramadan is coming to you, it is a blessed month. Allah has made its fasting obligatory upon you. In this blessed month, the gates of Paradise are opened and the gates of Hell are closed, and the devils are chained. In this month, there is a night which is better than a thousand months. Whoever is deprived of its goodness and blessings is truly deprived."
