حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامُ بْنُ عُرْوَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " عُذِّبَتْ امْرَأَةٌ فِي هِرَّةٍ رَبَطَتْهَا فَلَمْ تُطْعِمْهَا، وَلَمْ تُرْسِلْهَا فَتَأْكُلَ مِنْ حَشَرَاتِ الْأَرْضِ " (١)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) said: A woman entered Hell because of a cat which she had tied up; she neither fed it nor gave it water, nor did she let it go free so that it could eat the insects of the earth by itself.
