Translation

English translation

It is narrated from Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) said: Whoever opens the door of "asking" upon himself, Allah opens the door of poverty and need upon him. A person should take a rope, go to the mountain, cut wood, carry it on his back, sell it, and eat from what he earns or give it in charity; this is much better than going to people and asking from them, whether they give him something or not, it is up to them.
