حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، قَالَ عَلْقَمَةُ بْنُ مَرْثَدٍ: أَنْبَأَنِي، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ أَبَا الرَّبِيعِ، يُحَدِّثُ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: " أَرْبَعٌ فِي أُمَّتِي لَنْ يَدَعُوهَا: التَّطَاعُنُ فِي الْأَنْسَابِ، وَالنِّيَاحَةُ، وَمُطِرْنَا بِنَوْءِ كَذَا وَكَذَا،، ، اشْتَرَيْتَ بَعِيرًا أَجْرَبَ - أَوْ فَجَرِبَ - فَجَعَلْتَهُ فِي مِائَةِ بَعِيرٍ فَجَرِبَتْ، مَنْ أَعْدَى الْأَوَّلَ " (١)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Holy Prophet (ﷺ) said: There are four things from the time of ignorance which my Ummah will never abandon: finding fault with lineage, wailing over the dead, attributing rain to the stars, and considering disease to be contagious. If a camel gets scabies and it infects a hundred camels, then who infected the first camel with scabies?
