Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ، حَدَّثَنَا هَمَّامٌ، حَدَّثَنَا قَتَادَةُ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا صَاحِبٌ لَنَا، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، أَنَّهُ نَهَى عَنْ صَوْمِ يَوْمِ الْجُمُعَةِ إِلَّا فِي صَوْمٍ مُتَتَابِعٍ (١) " (٢)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) forbade fasting on Friday alone, except if it is included among continuous fasts.
