Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا عَمَّارُ بْنُ أَبِي عَمَّارٍ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ: إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، قَالَ: " إِذَا جَاءَ خَادِمُ أَحَدِكُمْ بِطَعَامِهِ، قَدْ كَفَاهُ حَرَّهُ وَعَمَلَهُ، فَإِنْ لَمْ يُقْعِدْهُ مَعَهُ لِيَأْكُلَ، فَلْيُنَاوِلْهُ أُكْلَةً مِنْ طَعَامِهِ " (٢)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) said: When any one of you has a servant who has sufficed him in cooking food with its heat and effort, then he should make him sit with him and feed him. If he cannot do so, then he should at least give him a morsel from it.
