English translation
It is narrated from Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that two consecutive months would pass over the family of Mustafa (ﷺ) during which no fire would be lit in their houses, neither for bread nor for cooking food. People asked him, "O Abu Huraira! Then how did they sustain themselves?" He replied, "On two black things, that is, dates and water. And there were some Ansar—may Allah reward them with goodness—who were their neighbors and had some goats, from which they would send a little milk."
