حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ الطَّالْقَانِيُّ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ، عَنْ يُونُسَ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ سَعِيدَ بْنَ الْمُسَيِّبِ، يَقُولُ: قَالَ أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " لِلْعَبْدِ الْمَمْلُوكِ الْمُصْلِحِ أَجْرَانِ "، " وَالَّذِي نَفْسُ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ بِيَدِهِ، لَوْلَا الْجِهَادُ فِي سَبِيلِ اللهِ، وَالْحَجُّ، وَبِرُّ أُمِّي لَأَحْبَبْتُ أَنْ أَمُوتَ وَأَنَا مَمْلُوكٌ " (١)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) said: A righteous slave receives a double reward. By Him in Whose hand is the life of Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him), if it were not for striving in the way of Allah, pilgrimage to the House of Allah, and serving my mother, I would have preferred to die in the state of slavery.
