حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ يَعْنِي ابْنَ عَيَّاشٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو حَصِينٍ، عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ: " كَانَ يُعْرَضُ عَلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ الْقُرْآنَ فِي كُلِّ سَنَةٍ مَرَّةً، فَلَمَّا كَانَ الْعَامُ الَّذِي قُبِضَ فِيهِ عُرِضَ عَلَيْهِ مَرَّتَيْنِ " (٢)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that he (Jibreel, peace be upon him) used to review the Holy Qur'an with the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) once every year, and in the year in which the Prophet (ﷺ) passed away, he reviewed it twice.
