حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاوِيَةُ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا زَائِدَةُ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ ذَكْوَانَ يُكْنَى أَبَا الزِّنَادِ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الْأَعْرَجِ،، ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " يَا بَنِي عَبْدِ الْمُطَّلِبِ، يَا بَنِي هَاشِمٍ، اشْتَرُوا أَنْفُسَكُمْ مِنَ اللهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ، لَا أَمْلِكُ لَكُمْ مِنَ اللهِ شَيْئًا، يَا أُمَّ الزُّبَيْرِ، عَمَّةَ النَّبِيِّ يَا فَاطِمَةُ بِنْتَ مُحَمَّدٍ، اشْتَرُوا أَنْفُسَكُمْ مِنَ اللهِ، لَا أَمْلِكُ لَكُمْ مِنَ اللهِ شَيْئًا، سَلَانِي مِنْ مَالِي مَا شِئْتُمَا " (١)،
Translation
English translation
Narrated from Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) said to the Banu Abdul Muttalib: "O Banu Abdul Muttalib, save yourselves from Allah by your own actions. O Banu Hashim, save yourselves from Allah by your own actions. I have no power to do anything for you before Allah. O aunt of the Messenger of Allah, Umm Zubair, and O Fatimah bint Muhammad (ﷺ), save yourselves from Allah by your own actions, for I have no authority from Allah to do anything for you. However, you may ask me for whatever wealth and property you wish."
