حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو أَحْمَدَ، حَدَّثَنَا مَعْقِلٌ يَعْنِي ابْنَ عُبَيْدِ اللهِ، عَنْ عَطَاءٍ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " الصَّدَقَةُ عَنْ ظَهْرِ، ، غِنًى، وَابْدَأْ بِمَنْ تَعُولُ، وَالْيَدُ الْعُلْيَا خَيْرٌ مِنَ الْيَدِ السُّفْلَى " (١)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) said: True charity is with contentment of the heart. The upper hand is better than the lower hand, and you should begin charity and alms with those who are under your responsibility.
