حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا الْأَعْمَشُ، عَنْ مُسْلِمِ بْنِ صُبَيْحٍ، عَنْ شُتَيْرِ بْنِ شَكَلٍ، عَنْ عَلِيٍّ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَوْمَ الْأَحْزَابِ: " شَغَلُونَا عَنِ الصَّلاةِ الْوُسْطَى صَلاةِ الْعَصْرِ، مَلَأَ اللهُ قُبُورَهُمْ وَبُيُوتَهُمْ نَارًا " قَالَ: ثُمَّ صَلاهَا بَيْنَ الْعِشَاءَيْنِ، بَيْنَ الْمَغْرِبِ وَالْعِشَاءِ وقَالَ أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ مَرَّةً: يَعْنِي بَيْنَ الْمَغْرِبِ وَالْعِشَاءِ (١)،
Translation
English translation
It was narrated that ‘Ali (رضي الله عنه) said:
The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said on the day of al-Ahzab: “They distracted us from the middle prayer, Asr prayer. May Allah fill their graves and houses with fire.” Then he prayed [`Asr] between the two evening prayers, between Maghrib and `Isha`. Abu Mu`awiyah said on one occasion: i.e., between Maghrib and ‘Isha`.
