حَدَّثَنَا حُسَيْنٌ، حَدَّثَنَا جَرِيرٌ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدٍ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " لَقِيَ آدَمَ مُوسَى، فَقَالَ: أَنْتَ آدَمُ الَّذِي خَلَقَكَ اللهُ بِيَدِهِ، وَأَسْكَنَكَ جَنَّتَهُ، وَأَسْجَدَ لَكَ مَلَائِكَتَهُ، ثُمَّ صَنَعْتَ مَا صَنَعْتَ؟ فَقَالَ آدَمُ لِمُوسَى: أَنْتَ الَّذِي كَلَّمَه اللهُ، وَأَنْزَلَ عَلَيْه التَّوْرَاةَ؟ قَالَ: نَعَمْ، قَالَ: فَهَلْ تَجِدُهُ مَكْتُوبًا عَلَيَّ قَبْلَ أَنْ أُخْلَقَ؟ قَالَ: نَعَمْ، قَالَ: فَحَجَّ آدَمُ مُوسَى فَحَجَّ آدَمُ مُوسَى " (٣)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Holy Prophet (ﷺ) said: Once, in the realm of souls, Adam and Musa (peace be upon them) met each other. Musa (peace be upon him) said, "Are you the same Adam whom Allah created with His own Hand of Power, settled you in His Paradise, made His angels prostrate before you, and then you committed that act?" Adam (peace be upon him) replied, "Are you the one to whom Allah spoke and upon whom He revealed the Torah?" Musa (peace be upon him) said, "Yes." Adam (peace be upon him) asked, "Did you find this command written in the Torah before my creation?" He replied, "Yes!" In this way, Adam (ﷺ) prevailed over Musa (peace be upon him).
